Description
The TRMB is a room resistance thermometer with screw terminals, manufacturer type Müller RWT.
It is wall-mounted and measures the air temperature in the room – in HVAC and cold storage applications. The data sheet does not mention a process connection or system pressure: The sensor measures the room air, the mounting position is arbitrary, and the protection class is at least IP 66. Connection is not made via a plug, but via screw terminals up to 2.5 mm² in the housing; the cable gland (M12, M16 or M20x1.5) is set according to customer specifications.
Four housings are available, allowing the design to adapt to the mounting location: three made of aluminum die-cast alloy in gray RAL 7032 – AK082 80 × 125 × 57 mm, AK081 75 × 80 × 57 mm, AK061 64 × 58 × 36 mm – and 1503 120 × 80 × 58 mm made of ABS; weights range from approximately 225 to 500 g. The sensor tube is made of stainless steel 1.4571 or Delrin POM.
Measuring elements include 1× or 2× Pt100, 1× or 2× Pt1000, 3× Pt100 or a thermocouple Type K, in 2-, 3- or 4-wire configuration and in classes A, B and AA (B1/3 DIN); the range extends from -50 … +100 °C. Without a transmitter, the resistance thermometer is connected directly to the terminals – the output is then the resistance or thermovoltage signal itself, and the sensor does not require a power supply. With a transmitter, 4 … 20 mA and 2 … 10 V are available, depending on the type, with 0.3% of the range or ±0.1% of the full scale value.
Please note before ordering: Two of the four housings do not accommodate a transmitter – it is only intended for AK082 and 1503, but the combination with AK061 and AK081 is not blocked in the ordering key. The sensor tube is not dimensioned: Only material and position can be selected; length and diameter must be requested from the manufacturer. The permissible ambient temperature depends on the housing and the transmitter: Die-cast aluminum -50 … +100 °C, plastic -50 … +85 °C, with transmitter in both cases only -40 … +85 °C. The transmitters are proprietary products: TP-RTD, DTW, TH-RTD, and DTW Ex only work with resistance thermometers; TP-TC only works with thermocouples. A CE mark and a declaration of conformity are not available; the marking II 1G Ex ia IIC T6 … T4 applies only to the DTW Ex transmitter, not to the sensor or the housing.
