Description
The TKMC is a resistance thermometer with connection head B, manufacturer type Müller WT-MR1.
It is designed for fixed system installation in pipes, tanks, and systems where the measuring point requires a wireable connection. The aluminum connection head sits above the process, accommodates a ceramic base with connection posts, and routes the cable out through an M20x1.5 screw connection; the process connection at the head is M24x1.5, and the protection class is IP 54. The protective tube made of 1.4571 (316Ti) or 2.4816 (Inconel 600) withstands temperatures up to 600 °C, with nominal lengths ranging from 50 to 1000 mm and a maximum length of 2000 mm.
Two designs cover both mounting types: the screw-in sensor (ES) with process thread on the pipe, and the immersion sensor (ET), which is mounted with accessories; in addition, eleven protection tube diameters from 3 to 15 mm are available. For the mineral-insulated element, the first approximately 50 mm from the head are rigid, and the rest is flexible – allowing the sensor to be inserted even without direct access. The manufacturer lists connection cables, compression fittings, and a transmitter as accessories.
The measuring element is a Pt100 or Pt1000, single or double, in 2-, 3- or 4-wire configuration, as a standard element or as a mineral-insulated element. The sensor's operating range is -200 ... +450 °C, with accuracy ranging in five steps from Class A to B1/10DIN. The resistance is located on the ceramic base in the head, and the test voltage is 500 VDC.
Please note before ordering: The ambient temperature is not the medium temperature – the head is limited to 480 °C, and the element ends at 450 °C. The source does not specify a standard for the accuracy classes; those who need figures for the limit deviation should request them from the manufacturer. IP 54 applies only to the connection head; the source does not specify a protection class for the protective tube. For the mineral-insulated element, the English version additionally mentions 1.5 mm, but the order key does not offer a digit for this – here, 3, 4.5, and 6 mm apply. The source does not specify the type, output signal, or supply for the transmitter, and a terminal assignment is missing. Weight, system pressure, CE mark, and explosion protection are not documented, and it does not have type approval. The GL version is the TKMD (WT-MR1G, TAA00002H5); both carry the product identifier KD, differing only in the first digit – 0 ... 3 for TKMC, 4 ... 7 for TKMD.
