Description
The TPMF is a standard temperature sensor without electronics, manufacturer type Müller STS.
It measures directly in the medium and is installed using a compression fitting G1/4" or G1/2". The material throughout is stainless steel 1.4571, the sensor tube measures Ø 6 × 0.5 mm, the total length is 163 mm, of which 140 mm is tube, the housing body is completely potted internally, protection class IP 67 when connected, installation position is arbitrary. At approx. 23 g, it is the lightest in the series and hardly strains the measuring point.
It is the basic type of the series and solves a procurement problem, not a metrological one: It has no order key, but a single order number 100-02161. Where otherwise ten digits would have to be set correctly – transmitter, number of wires, class, installation length, process connection, connector insert, configuration – there is only one version here.
The measuring element is a Pt100 in a 4-wire circuit of Class A, the measuring range of the medium extends from -20 … +150 °C. The sensor is a passive measuring element and provides a resistance: The four wires are directly connected to the four pins of the M12x1, four-pole, A-coded connector, a transmitter is not present. This means there is nothing to power and nothing to configure.
Note before ordering: The ambient temperature is not the medium temperature – the medium may be up to +150 °C warm, the head tolerates only -20 … +80 °C, storage -20 … +85 °C; the source does not state what neck length or insulation is required for this, condensation is harmless. The system pressure of max. 10 bar is the smallest in this series – the other MKTS versions support 25 bar; the data sheet does not state the reason, but the compression fitting is a plausible explanation. The compression fitting is not included in the scope of delivery and has its own order numbers: G1/4" is 047-00067, G1/2" is 047-00066, steel clamping ring, material stainless steel 1.4571, for Ø 6 mm; the corresponding socket and the six connection cables from the source are also not included. This version does not offer other elements, other classes, or a different number of wires. The source does not specify a standard for Class A. A CE mark is not documented, a declaration of conformity is not available; explosion protection is also not documented.
