Not every force measurement needs a control cabinet. Sometimes the simplest answer to “what is the load right now?” is a display directly on the transducer — readable from where you are standing anyway.
What that looks like
Our LLAD is an example: a flange or spoke-type load cell with an electronics housing mounted on the side. Inside it a five-digit red LED display, a zero button on the front and a screw-type circular connector for the supply. Central load introduction, mounting via the bolt circle in the flange.
Transducer and display are one component. No cable route to an indicator, no wiring in the cabinet, no question of which signal belongs to which channel.
Rated capacities, accuracy class and interfaces of the LLAD are still being finalised on the product side — ask us for the version that matches your load.
When a display on the sensor is the right choice
- Setting up and adjusting. Anyone setting a preload or commissioning a press wants the value visible where they are turning the bolt.
- Service and fault finding. A glance at the display answers whether the transducer is reading plausibly — without a laptop.
- A single measuring point with no controller. If nobody processes the data further, an additional evaluation device is only effort.
When it is not
If the transducer sits behind a guard, at height or inside a machine, a display on the sensor helps nobody. The same applies when the value has to be documented, logged or used for control.
Then the display belongs where it is read: via a weighing indicator, a large-format display in the hall, or a weighing transmitter into the controller. For mobile measurements there are handheld instruments.
