Bluetooth transmitters for load cells and strain gauges
Bluetooth plays to its strength where the display device is already in your pocket: the transmitter sits at the load cell, and the measured value goes straight to a smartphone, tablet or notebook – no base station, no software installation on an industrial PC.
- Digitisation directly at the sensor; what is transmitted is the finished measured value, not a millivolt signal
- Connection to standard devices without additional receiver hardware
- Suitable for load cells, force transducers and strain gauges in a full bridge
- Typical for commissioning, service and measurements that do not stay permanently installed
Bluetooth or telemetry
Bluetooth is designed for short distances and a nearby end device. Where long distances, many parallel measuring points, permanent installation or a connection to the PLC are involved, wireless telemetry in the 2.4 GHz band is the appropriate technology – with base station, handheld displays and ATEX versions.
Both technologies at a glance: wireless measurement technology. Cable-based options are available via weighing transmitters and strain gauge amplifiers. Questions about connectivity via Contact.
