Description
The ETLE is an analog weighing transmitter, type L-TLC.
It transmits the signal from tension and compression load cells as an analog signal to a controller and is compatible with common analog/digital cards of a PLC.
The transmitter has its own load cell input and can connect up to 4 load cells with 350 Ω in 4- or 6-wire technology via a junction box; the power supply for the load cells is 5 V DC/60 mA. The measuring range is 1 to 3 mV/V, linearity is 0.01% of full scale, and thermal drift is 0.005% of full scale/°C. The analog output provides 4 to 20 mA (max. 300 Ω) or 0 to 10 V DC (min. 10 kΩ).
Zero point and full scale are set via 12-turn potentiometers, sensitivity via 3 DIP switches; two additional DIP switches select between unidirectional operation (tension or compression) and bidirectional operation (tension and compression). Calibration is performed with test weights or a load cell simulator. The power supply is 12 to 24 V DC at 2 W, the operating temperature range is -20 °C to +60 °C, and the storage temperature is -30 °C to +80 °C. The bare PCB measures 45 x 26 x 11 mm, while the version in an IP67 ABS enclosure with two M12x1.5 cable glands measures 94 x 53 x 40 mm. A round PCB with Ø 20 mm and 8 mm height with solder connections is available upon request.
