Description
The ETLD is a digital transmitter and load limiter for lifting systems, type L-LCD3.
It detects load limitation by triggering alarm and pre-alarm thresholds and covers systems with up to 4 weighing points by combining several units.
Installation is on the rear panel of the control cabinet on Omega/DIN rail or in a box; dimensions are 140 x 93 x 65 mm including the terminal block. Setup and calibration are done via a 4-button keypad and an LCD display with 2 lines of 16 characters (5 mm digit height). LED indicators show the status of the relay outputs, and a faulty load cell connection is reported.
Up to 8 load cells with 350 Ω can be connected with a supply of 4 V DC. The A/D converter operates at 24 bit and 3 conversions per second, the measuring range is ±3.9 mV, linearity is < 0.01 % full scale, and thermal drift is < 0.002 % full scale/°C. Power supply is 24 to 48 V DC/VAC at 6 VA, and the operating temperature range is -10 °C to +50 °C. RS485 and RS232 with ASCII protocol, as well as 2 digital inputs, are available for communication. The L-LCD3 version has 3 relay outputs and one load cell input; an integrated RF interface for combining multiple units is available on request. The L-LCD3PL variant offers 2 independent load cell inputs and 4 relay outputs with guided safety contact and meets Category 2 according to EN 13849-1:2008, PL d (equivalent to SIL 2 according to EN 62061).
