Description
The ETLB is an intelligent junction box with 8 independent channels for load cells, type CLM8.
It is designed for weighing systems where each connected load cell is to be monitored individually, for example, in the direct control of a weighbridge.
The A/D converter operates with 8 channels, 24 bits, and 16,000,000 digits at 4.8 kHz, providing 600 conversions per second. Up to 16 load cells with 350 Ω can be connected in 4- or 6-wire technology; the measuring range is ±39 mV with a sensitivity of ±7 mV/V. Linearity is < 0.01% full scale, and thermal drift is < 0.0005% full scale/°C.
The functional scope includes digital equalization of the 8 channels, load distribution analysis, and diagnosis for each load cell; an external inclinometer compensates for the inclination of the weighing system up to ±10 degrees. The device is operated via a backlit alphanumeric LCD with 2 lines of 8 characters (5 mm digit height) and a 4-button keypad. Communication takes place via RS485 and RS232 with ModBus RTU, ASCII, or continuous transmission. Power supply is from 12 to 24 V DC at 5 W; the operating temperature range is from -20 °C to +60 °C. Versions are available for Omega/DIN rail, as a pure circuit board, and IP67 enclosures made of polycarbonate, ABS, or AISI 304 stainless steel. Certified according to OIML R76:2006, Class III, with 3 x 10,000 verification intervals; UL-recognized component for USA and Canada.
