Description
The EFMD is Mantracourt's handheld display for T24 radio telemetry. It displays real-time measurements from T24 transmitter modules – load, force, pressure, torque, strain, or temperature – without the need for a cable to the sensor.
When delivered, the device operates in roaming mode: up to twelve nearby T24 transmitters are automatically detected and displayed. Alternatively, twelve fixed inputs can be defined, each with its own designation, calibrated unit, and overload warning. Most settings are made via the device's menu, including the transfer of radio settings to the transmitters; the free T24 Handheld Toolkit handles full setup as well as saving and loading configurations. Menu items can be locked or hidden, and a PIN and password prevent accidental changes. The firmware can be updated via the toolkit.
The EFMD replaces the four predecessors T24-HS, T24-HR, T24-HLT, and T24-DWS, combining their most common features into one device. It is backward compatible with existing T24 products.
The radio link operates on the license-free 2.4 GHz band using DSSS technology with 10 mW transmission power, making it coexistent with WLAN, Bluetooth, and Zigbee. The range of up to 800 m applies in open field at 3 m height above ground. Two standard AA alkaline cells power the device; continuous power supply is also possible for fixed installations.
