Description
The QEKF is a thermal flow and temperature sensor for air and other gases. It is particularly suited to air flow detection, to gas flow measurement of various kinds and to flow interruption protection.
Sealed probe with a heated detection resistor and an unheated reference resistor. Flow velocity 0 … 60 m/s (reference medium air), measuring accuracy ≤ ± 6 %, dead zone ≤ 0.1 m/s, temperature 0 … 100 °C with ± 1.5 °C. Repeatability is not documented. Switching output PNP or NPN (max. 200 mA) with IO-Link, analogue output 4 … 20 mA or 1 … 5 V for flow and temperature, frequency output 200 Hz at full scale. Supply 24 V DC ± 20 %, connection M12 × 1, 5-pin.
Wetted parts stainless steel 316L and EPDM, housing stainless steel, head stainless steel or engineering plastic. Process connection M18 × 1.5 internal thread, probe rod or chuck Ø 25.4 mm or Ø 50.5 mm. Pressure range 60 bar, medium temperature 0 … 100 °C, ambient -20 … +80 °C, protection grade IP67. A declaration of conformity is not documented in the data sheet. Before sizing, note: The accuracy ≤ ± 6 % is given without saying whether it refers to the reading or to the full scale. No conversion from velocity to volume flow is given for gas. The technical data give 24 V DC ± 20 %, the wiring diagram 12 … 30 V DC.
