Description
The QEKE is a thermal flow and temperature sensor for water, circulating water and cutting fluid. It is particularly suited as a low flow alarm, for cut-off detection and for pump idling protection.
Sealed probe with a heated detection resistor and an unheated reference resistor. Flow velocity 0 … 3 m/s (water), measuring accuracy < 10.0 %, dead zone ≤ 0.01 m/s, temperature 0 … 100 °C with ± 1.5 °C. Repeatability is not documented. Switching output PNP or NPN (max. 200 mA) with IO-Link, analogue output 4 … 20 mA or 1 … 5 V for flow and temperature, frequency output 200 Hz at full scale. Supply 24 V DC ± 20 %, connection M12 × 1, 5-pin.
Wetted parts stainless steel 316L and EPDM, housing stainless steel, head stainless steel or engineering plastic. Process connection M18 × 1.5 internal thread, probe rod or chuck Ø 25.4 mm or Ø 50.5 mm. Pressure range 60 bar, medium temperature 0 … 100 °C, ambient -20 … +80 °C, protection grade IP67. A declaration of conformity is not documented in the data sheet. Before sizing, note: The accuracy < 10.0 % is given without saying whether it refers to the reading or to the full scale. A repeatability has to be requested. The technical data give 24 V DC ± 20 %, the wiring diagram 12 … 30 V DC.
