Description
The ETLE is an analog weighing transmitter with a 4–20 mA or 0–10 V output.
It transmits the signal from tension and compression load cells as an analog signal to a controller and is compatible with standard analog/digital PLC cards.
The transmitter has its own load cell input and, via a junction box, can accommodate up to 4 load cells at 350 Ω in 4- or 6-wire technology; the load cell excitation is 5 V DC/60 mA. The measuring range is 1 to 3 mV/V, linearity is 0.01% full scale, and thermal drift is 0.005% full scale/°C. The analog output provides 4 to 20 mA (max. 300 Ω) or 0 to 10 V DC (min. 10 kΩ).
Zero point and full scale are adjusted via 12-turn potentiometers, and sensitivity is set via 3 DIP switches; two additional DIP switches select between unidirectional (tension or compression) and bidirectional (tension and compression) operation. Calibration is performed using calibration weights or a load cell simulator. Power supply is 12 to 24 V DC at 2 W, the operating temperature range is from -20 °C to +60 °C, and the storage temperature is from -30 °C to +80 °C. The bare circuit board measures 45 x 26 x 11 mm, while the version in an IP67 ABS housing with two M12x1.5 cable glands measures 94 x 53 x 40 mm. A circular circuit board with Ø 20 mm and 8 mm height with solder terminals is available upon request.
