Description
The EOMD is a single-channel IO-Link transducer as a round OEM board, type MCUT-R.
Electrically, it is the EOMC, but in a round design: Ø 31.4 mm with a height of 4.8 mm, with an Ø 8 mm mounting hole in the center. This shape is intended for sensors with a round housing – a load cell, a pressure transducer, a round housing with cable feed-through in the axis.
It converts the signal from a strain gauge full bridge into a digital measured value for force and pressure. The measuring range is freely adjustable in the range of -3200.0 … +3200.0 and is unitless, meaning the board adopts the unit of the application. The channel accepts 1 × strain gauge full bridge from 350 Ω, for two parallel full bridges at least 2 × 700 Ω; the bridge supply provides 3 V.
The resolution is 16 bit, the accuracy is max. 0.05% of the measuring range plus sensor error. The filter is 0.5 s, the power-on delay is less than 5 s, and the response time is 20 ms. An IO-Link interface with a signal level of 0 / 24 V is available at the output. The board is supplied with 24 VDC at under 30 mA in standard operation, maximum 130 mA total current; reverse polarity is protected.
The weight is approx. 3.5 g, material FR4 and PBT, connection via solder pads 2.7 × 1.5 mm, mounting position arbitrary. The operating range extends from -20 °C to +80 °C, the storage temperature from -20 °C to +85 °C.
An IO-Link master is required for configuration and operation, as well as the appropriate IODD file from the IODD Finder. The board has IP00 and must be installed in a housing. It has been tested according to EN 61000-6-2:2005 and EN 61000-6-4:2007 + A1:2011. A CE mark is not documented in the manufacturer's datasheet; a declaration of conformity must be requested before placing it on the market in the EU. This board has one channel and no temperature input.
Regarding the price: The price is for the board in its basic configuration. The measuring range is freely adjustable via IO-Link, so factory programming is not required. If you still wish to have the board pre-programmed to your measuring range at the factory, this is possible for an additional charge — please ask us.
