Description
The EOLA is an analog weighing transmitter in the form of an OEM board, type TLC.
It is designed for installation in your own device: it converts the mV/V signal from a strain gauge bridge into a standardized analog signal for control purposes. Since the housing, display, and controls are already present in the target device, the board offers the most compact solution for series-produced devices.
The board measures 45 × 26 × 11 mm and has a mounting hole of Ø 4 mm. The sensor input accepts 1 … 3 mV/V, connecting up to four 350 Ω load cells in parallel via a junction box, in a 4- or 6-wire configuration. The bridge excitation provides 5 VDC / 60 mA. Outputs available are 4 … 20 mA (load max. 300 Ω) or 0 … 10 VDC (load min. 10 kΩ). Linearity is 0.01% of full scale, and thermal drift is 0.005% of full scale per °C. The board is powered by 12 … 24 VDC ±10% at 2 W; operating temperature ranges from -20 °C to +60 °C, and storage temperature from -30 °C to +80 °C.
The board is a UL Recognized Component – a component recognized for installation in other products, not an approved end device. The conditions for recognition are: indoor use only, wall mounting at a maximum height of 2 m, and a PS2 type power supply. A CE mark is not documented in the manufacturer's product sheet; a declaration of conformity must be requested before placing the product on the market in the EU.
The bare board has no ingress protection rating and must be installed in a housing. With the IP67 enclosure CASTLC, it achieves IP67; it is available on request in ABS and polycarbonate, although only the polycarbonate version is UL certified. A round version of the board with Ø 20 mm at 8 mm height, for a single load cell and with solder connections instead of plug-in terminals, is also available on request.
