Description
The EFMG is a wireless large-format display with four 100 mm high digits: it receives its measured value via radio. Only the 11 to 30 V DC power supply is connected—no signal cable is required. This allows a display to be mounted wherever it is needed without having to run a cable to the sensor.
It displays the value of a single T24 transmitter or the sum of up to eight T24 transmitter modules. Which modules are included, which display format applies, and how the zero-point functions operate are configured using the free T24 Toolkit PC software via a USB base station. Four display formats are available, from −1999…9999 to −1.999…9.999. Input timeouts, underflow, and overflow are indicated on the display.
Two wired logic inputs allow for remote control of tare and switching between net and gross. The display can be wall-mounted or suspended from the ceiling—typical for crane scales and weighing systems where the operator remains at a distance from the load.
The wireless link operates on the license-free 2.4 GHz band using DSSS technology with 10 mW transmission power and 15 channels. The display is equipped with the T24-ANTA antenna. The range depends on the remote unit: up to 800 m with a module using T24-ANTA, T24-ANTD, or T24-ANTE, around 600 m with a transmitter featuring an integrated chip antenna, and around 400 m with T24-ANTB or T24-ANTC—all in open-field conditions, with the transmitter on a 3 m mast and the receiver 1.5 m above ground.
