Tension & Compression Load Cells

These designs measure tensile and compressive force with a single transducer. They are bolted between two points of force application and measure force in both directions – typical for test benches, press monitoring, rope and belt tension, and retrofitting existing structures.

The range includes S-type load cells as a universal design, flange and spoke-type transducers for high loads with a short height, flat designs for limited installation space, and tension link load cells for long measurement distances.

All versions work with strain gauges and output a mV/V signal, which can be converted to 4…20 mA, 0…10 V or IO-Link with our weighing transmitters and measuring amplifiers. For demanding environments, there are variants with ATEX approval and protection class up to IP69k. Data sheets and 3D data are available for download with each item, and we can calibrate to ISO 17025 upon request.
