The Form B connection head houses the terminal block and, optionally, a transmitter. The measuring insert can be pulled out and replaced without opening the process – this is why this design is the most common in plant engineering.

Available as a thermocouple and as a resistance thermometer, each also available in a version with marine approval (GL). For versions without a head and with a permanently connected cable, see cable sensors; for flexible versions, see sheathed sensors.
