Description

Non-contact torque sensor MDAB (RT8) up to 10,000 rpm

The MDAB is a rotating torque sensor with non-contact signal transmission. Because there are no slip rings to wear out, it is suitable for continuous operation and high speeds: up to 10,000 rpm in measuring ranges up to 500 N·m and up to 9500 rpm from 1000 N·m. The output is an amplified analog signal of ±10 V.

Necessary accessories

For correct installation, two shaft couplings (MAAA, FLEXSTEEL or METALFLEX) and an adjustable stand are required. The couplings are designed for 4000 rpm and thus limit the speed of the system. They are mounted together with the sensor outside the machine and connected to a display so that no unwanted torque, bending, or tensile stress occurs during alignment.

Notes: For 0.5 N·m and 2.5 N·m, ACCREDIA calibration cannot be performed in LAT laboratory No. 93; it is possible on request through another accredited laboratory. The manufacturer does not publish a declaration of conformity for the RT8 – it must be requested.
