Description
The QEKC is a thermal flow and temperature sensor without moving parts for water, oil and air. It is particularly suited to monitoring flow and temperature together in pipelines, as one sensor covers a range of pipe diameters.
Sealed probe with a heated resistor and a reference resistor. Flow velocity 1 … 150 cm/s (water), 3 … 300 cm/s (oil), 20 … 2000 cm/s (air), temperature -20 … +80 °C. Accuracy and repeatability are not documented. Response time 1 … 13 s, typically 2 s. Switching output PNP or NPN (max. 400 mA) and analogue output 0/4 … 20 mA, 0/1 … 5 V or 0/1 … 10 V, each for flow and temperature. Supply 24 V DC ± 20 %, connection by M12 connector or cable.
Wetted parts stainless steel 304, case stainless steel. Process connection G1/4, G1/2, R1/4 or R1/2 external thread and M18 × 1.5 internal thread. Withstand pressure 100 bar, medium and ambient temperature -20 … +80 °C, protection grade IP67. A declaration of conformity is not documented in the data sheet. Before sizing, note: Accuracy and repeatability have to be requested. The technical data give 24 V DC ± 20 %, the wiring diagrams 12 … 30 V DC. The measuring principle is not clearly described in the datasheet.
