Description
The QFKE is an insertion impeller flow sensor that is fitted into the pipe through a welding socket. It is particularly suited to pipes from DN25 to DN600, since one device covers all these sizes and no size has to be chosen.
Impeller principle, the measured quantity is the flow velocity 0.15 … 6 m/s; no volume flow table is given. Linear accuracy ± 1.0 % F.S., repeatability ± 5 % F.S., temperature 0 … 100 °C with ± 1.5 °C. Outputs: switch PNP or NPN for flow and temperature, analog 4 … 20 mA, 1 … 5 V or 0 … 10 V, pulse, IO-Link and RS485. Supply 12 … 30 V DC, connection M12 × 1, 5-pin. Colour display with instantaneous value, percentage of range and totalized flow, three keys.
Sensor body of stainless steel, O-ring FPM (default) or EPDM, impeller of PP (default) or PVDF, bearing and shaft of ZrO2 ceramic, stainless steel 316L, titanium alloy or Hastelloy. Process connection M32 × 1.5 through a welding socket, pressure 25 bar, medium temperature 0 … 100 °C, protection IP67. Straight pipe run 5 … 10 × DN before and 3 … 5 × DN after the sensor. A declaration of conformity is not documented in the datasheet. Before sizing, note: table and k-factor for converting velocity into volume flow are missing. At ± 5 % FS the repeatability is five times the linearity error; the value has to be settled with the enquiry. No process connection other than the welding socket is documented.
