Description
The QMKA is an electromagnetic flowmeter for conductive liquids and slurries. It is particularly suited to acids, alkalis, salt solutions, pulp and slurries, as the straight, empty tube has no obstruction, no pressure loss and no moving parts.
Faraday's law of induction with two electrodes in a magnetic field. Flow velocity 0.1 … 15 m/s, settable, accuracy ± 0.5 % of reading, optionally ± 0.3 % and ± 0.2 %. Conductivity ≥ 25 µS/cm. Forward and reverse flow, empty-pipe detection and self-diagnosis with alarm output. Outputs 4 … 20 mA with optional HART, pulse or frequency, limit alarms, RS485 and optional RS232. Supply 220 V AC or 24 V DC.
Electrodes 316L, platinum-iridium, Hastelloy B or C, tantalum or titanium, lining neoprene, PTFE, FEP or polyurethane rubber, shell carbon steel, stainless steel to order. Nominal pressure 4.0 MPa up to DN50 down to 0.6 MPa from DN1200, flanges to GB/T 9119-2000 or JB/T 81-94. Medium temperature -40 … +180 °C depending on the lining, ambient -25 … +60 °C, protection grade IP65 or IP68. A declaration of conformity is not documented in the data sheet. Before sizing, note: The sheet gives four different nominal size ranges; the sizes that can be delivered have to be settled with the enquiry. The turndown is given as 1500:1, while the velocity span gives 150:1. No temperature limit per lining is given; the order code knows only ≤ 70 °C and ≤ 120 °C.
