IO-Link strain gauge amplifiers EPG-IO for load cells offer various advantages in industrial applications. The combination of IO-Link and strain gauge amplifiers optimizes data acquisition and data transmission in load cell applications, resulting in improved process control and efficiency.

The strain gauge measuring amplifier has a robust plastic housing and is suitable for a wide range of industrial applications.

This has a connection for a strain gauge full bridge. The sensor signal from the application is converted into a standardized IO-Link signal by the measuring amplifier. The measuring transducer uses its power supply to apply a measuring current to the strain gauge bridge. The output signal of the bridge changes proportionally to the change in force and is passed on by the IO-Link interface as a digital signal.

Overview IO-Link strain gauge amplifier EPG-IO

With a view to the requirements of Industry 4.0 applications, the digital point-to-point connection IO-Link offers a manufacturer-independent, fieldbus-independent communication technology that offers a wide range of options for the intelligent connection of sensors and actuators to the control level of an automation system and the communication between the system control and the field level. The EPG-IO measuring amplifier can be configured for force and pressure applications. This makes it suitable for use in weighing systems, for level measurement or for use in dosing and filling systems, for example.
