Description

PSKA Electronic Pressure Switch

The PSKA electronic pressure switch from Octogon Messtechnik is a reliable solution for various industrial applications. It is based on a diffused silicon sensor for precise pressure measurement. The acquired signal is processed by an integrated circuit and converted into an industry-standard electrical signal.

Compact Design and Easy Operation

The PSKA features a robust, integrated injection-molded housing made of engineering plastic. A bright LED display shows current measurements digitally in real-time. Operation and switch setting (increasing/decreasing values) are user-friendly, directly via the integrated buttons.

Technical Data at a Glance

  • Pressure Ranges: Configurable measuring ranges extend from vacuum/negative pressure (e.g., -1 to 0 bar) to extreme high-pressure applications from 0 to 1000 bar.

  • Accuracy: Measurement accuracy is ≤±0.5% of the measuring range.

  • Long-term Stability: The sensor operates with extreme stability, with an annual drift of only ≤±0.3% of the measuring range.

  • Response Time: Very fast response time of <10 ms.

  • Signal Outputs: The switch can be flexibly adapted and offers configurable PNP/NPN outputs (NO/NC). In addition, model variants with analog outputs (4-20 mA, 1-5 V), frequency output (100 Hz), or an RS485 interface are available.

  • Supply Voltage: 12 to 30 VDC.

  • Protection Class: The device is IP67 protected, making it ideal for tough industrial conditions.

  • Temperature Ranges: Designed for ambient temperatures from -20 °C to 80 °C and media temperatures from -20 °C to 85 °C.

High-Quality Materials and Flexible Connections

  • Measuring Diaphragm: Optionally made of durable 316L stainless steel or ceramic.

  • Process Connection: The connection piece is made of 304 stainless steel. To meet various installation requirements, various thread types such as G1/4 (internal and external threads), G1/2, NPT1/4, R1/4, and M20x1.5 (external threads) are available.

  • Seals: Depending on requirements, butadiene rubber or fluororubber are used.

  • Electrical Connection: The electrical output is standardized via an M12x1 connector.
