The sensor is powered by a \u003cstrong\u003e3.6 V \/ 2600 mAh lithium-ion battery\u003c\/strong\u003e, optionally continuously with 24 VDC; the standby time is approx. \u003cstrong\u003e6 months\u003c\/strong\u003e for one measurement per minute and approx. 50 days for six measurements per minute. It is switched on and off with a magnet on top of the lid, and two LEDs indicate the status.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMeasurements are taken with a \u003cstrong\u003ePt100 in a 4-wire circuit, Class A\u003c\/strong\u003e with 16 bits and a step size of \u003cstrong\u003e0.1 °C\u003c\/strong\u003e. The maximum range extends from \u003cstrong\u003e-50 … +400 °C\u003c\/strong\u003e, the factory setting is -50 … 250 °C according to the order key. The measurement rate is 8 measurements per second, and the accuracy is \u003cstrong\u003e0.15 % of the range\u003c\/strong\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ePlease note before ordering:\u003c\/strong\u003e The data sheet states the accuracy as 0.15 % of the range, while the feature list on the first page indicates approx. 0.2 %; the data sheet is decisive. The ambient temperature is not the medium temperature – the measuring surface can withstand up to +400 °C, but the electronics in the head only up to \u003cstrong\u003e+60 °C\u003c\/strong\u003e, and the sensor with the magnet is placed directly on the hot surface; the data sheet does not specify how much heat reaches the head in this process. The range applies to clear line of sight: Walls, metal, and system components shorten it, but by how much, the data sheet does not say – and the magnet places the sensor directly on metal. The battery only charges between 0 and +45 °C, but operation is possible up to +60 °C; above this, measurements can be taken, but the battery cannot be charged. For reading out and remote configuration, the USB transceiver \u003cstrong\u003eUSB-RC\u003c\/strong\u003e (700-00122) is required.
